Friday Randoms

Life has been flying by lately, it seems. This week I am thankful for that....I needed the weekend so badly after having a pretty rough week all around. Everything seemed to be testing my patience (and my sanity....)! Although only my plans this weekend include babysitting for a sweet family, I also get to see Brian which will make my weekend that much better!

So anyway, although this week has been a little ridiculous and overwhelming I have loved it in relation to the weather...for the most part! The cooler temperatures decided to stay around and I got to break out some fall clothes + boots! #ILOVEFALL


I also scooped up this dress from Target. They are really on point with a) leopard print items b) fall clothing this season! I've gotten quite a few fall staples from there that I can't wait to bring out!


I have started to notice some leaves changing on trees. This may not be a big deal to some of y'all, but going to school along the Blue Ridge Parkway this was something I looked forward to every fall for four years. I can't wait to visit the mountains and see the beautiful colors of the leaves. Just another reason I love fall!

I have started (seriously) looking at apartments and condos. I think I have decided to live by myself for the time being. After having roommates for four years in college- I need some "me" time! And, I'll be honest I have high expectations of roommates ha! SO naturally I have been pinning a LOT of interior decor on my pinterest boards lately. Can it all just appear in my pretend apartment, like now??

  3. I agree with you... I went to Target this week and was swooning over so many dresses they have!! I have a few of them on my shopping list to buy!

    So excited for fall! Even more since I will be going to SC next month just to go see the changing leaves. Yes. We are making a trip solely for that reason since here we don't get that luxury. LOL.

  4. SO ready for the leaves to change in VA and to visit the mountains here too! I loved living by myself until my beau and I were ready to live together/engaged shortly after. I feel the same way about roommates and am also a bit of a control/neat freak. Not to mention I was only 4 miles away from my parents' house!

  6. I was so close to buying that dress earlier this week! I just was tired of trying on clothes so I put it back! Now I may have to go back and get it!! We are defintely feeling fall in the Midwest, but I'm not ready for the already FREEZING temps. I can handle 50s, but below freezing in Sept is not OK! Hope you have a fabulous relaxing weekend babysitting and with your beau!! xoxoo

  8. The leaves changing in North Carolina is seriously like Christmas to me! And especially in Boone! Here in Tennessee & Virginia its beautiful and all, but nothing is like Boone in October. We're heading up the second weekend of October. So excited. Send me restaurant tips if you think of any! :)

  11. Living by yourself is a blessing after living with roommates. TRUST ME! Haha No matter how good your roommate is I feel like you will always have those days where you just don't want to deal with it! I love target clothes! Can't wait to see what you got!

  13. Good luck with the apartment hunt!! I'm like you, I looked at just one bedroom apartments cause I am SO ready to live by myself! (Having roommates all four years in college was great, but I want to be able to decorate my apartment like I want to!). Have fun searching! I found the perfect one and I know you will too! :)

  16. I finally figured out why I always miss your posts, for the longest time I thought the URL switch unsubscribed me but really you are just crazy on top of the publishing posts thing. So to make up for all of those missed posts here comes an obnoxiously long comment courtesy of moi. First off, I love love love that dress and I can already see you pairing it with some fabulous jewelry for the fall! Also, I cannot wait to see what your actual apartment/condo looks like, its going to be divine I'll probably have to resist the urge to move in with you, hah!
    On a different note, I am so in awe of your blog's growth you completely deserve it! I remember last year when I first gave blogging a go, and sort of failed, and you were there for me all the while.
